Regular Season Round 6: Ostrava - Opava B 71-76

Quite upsetting was Ostrava's (#3) home defeat in a game versus fourth ranked B&W Opava B 76-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ostrava. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. The best player for the winners was center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-93, college: Des Moines Area CC) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Radim Klecka (189-90) chipped in 16 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Lukas Bukovjan (185-98) who recorded 15 points and 7 assists and power forward Richard Marek (203-78) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Four Ostrava players scored in double figures. Ostrava's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. B&W Opava B (4-2) moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Novy Jicin and Sokol Slapanice. Newly promoted Ostrava dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Olomouc Bbal and Olomouc SK. B&W Opava B will meet at home Novy Jicin (#4) in the next round. Ostrava will play against Olomouc Bbal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
