Gornik dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Wroclaw's 16. Gornik forced 21 WKK Wroclaw turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Rafal Glapinski (183-82) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists. Four Gornik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Kamil Fiedukiewicz (188-98) with 24 points and point guard Tomasz Jozefiak (188-93) scored 9 points. WKK Wroclaw's coach Tomasz Niedbalski tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gornik maintains second place in Group D with 7-1 record behind leader AZS PK. Loser WKK Wroclaw dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Gornik will face Sudety (#5) in Jelenia Gora in the next round. WKK Wroclaw will play on the road against Koscian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
