Regular Season Round 6: Pagrati - Kavala 71-76

Date: November 12, 2016
Bottom-ranked Kavala managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Pagrati in Athens 76-71. Kavala made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Pagrati turnovers. It was a good game for Polish-American guard Andy Mazurczak (188, college: Wisc.-Parkside, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Savvas Manousos (208-85) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Nicholas Paulos (201-91, college: NC-Greensboro) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and forward Christodoulos Karavolas (197-83, agency: Court Side) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Pagrati. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pagrati's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kavala (2-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Pagrati lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. They share it with GS Larissas and Irakleio. Kavala will play against Holargos (#10) at home in the next round. Pagrati will play against Irakleio (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
