Regular Season Round 11: BK Kolin - Svitavy 88-94

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kolin, where 4th placed BK Kolin (6-5) lost at home to eleventh ranked Basketbal Svitavy (3-8) 88-94 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of BK Kolin. Strangely BK Kolin outrebounded Basketbal Svitavy 34-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard T.J. Bannister (180-84, college: Liberty, agency: Inception Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists. Forward Jiri Jelinek (203-87, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds. Montenegrin Bojan Bakic (195-83, agency: Interperformances) produced 18 points and 5 assists and American point guard Chris Dixon (185-90, college: NC-Wilmington) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four BK Kolin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to tenth place. Loser BK Kolin keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Basketbal Svitavy will face league's second-placed BK Pardubice on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Kolin will play against Prostejov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
