Regular Season Round 8: Dinamo B. - Steaua CSM 73-96

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bucuresti: Steaua CSM (#2) and CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#10). CS Dinamo Bucuresti was smashed at home by 23 points 73-96. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. CS Dinamo Bucuresti was better in third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) who added 25 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. Bosnian-Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (194-83) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian forward Danilo Tasic (207-93, agency: 011 Sports) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Steaua CSM (6-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with UBT Cluj Napoca. Loser CS Dinamo Bucuresti keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Steaua CSM will face Targu Mures (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will play against Oradea and hope to win that game.
