There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Bottegone (2-5) defeated on the road 12th ranked Oleggio (2-5) 71-64 on Saturday. Oleggio was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Daniele Toscano (196-93, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Bulgaria guard Georgi Sirakov (187-92, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 26 points. At the losing side forward Edoardo Gallazzi (200-86) responded with 29 points and 6 rebounds and Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bottegone moved-up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Milano Urania. Bottegone will face Firenze Enic (#16) at home in the next round. Oleggio will play against Piombino having rather not much hope for a victory.
