An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ruzomberok. Leader Piestanske C. faced 3rd placed MBK Ruzomberok. Guests from Piestany (8-0) defeated host MBK Ruzomberok (6-2) 76-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of MBK Ruzomberok. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to MBK Ruzomberok's 30. The best player for the winners was American center Monique Oliver (188-91, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. Her fellow American import point guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) chipped in 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Zuzana Lazarova (168-87) who recorded 17 points and the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) added 15 points respectively. Four MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. Piestanske C. have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Piestanske C. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked UKF Nitra (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBK Ruzomberok will play against Cassovia K. (#8) in Kosice and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
