The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Sokol Hradec Kralove defeated 5th ranked Sokol Prazky at home 80-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sokol Prazky. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ondrej Peterka (198-91, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. Slovakian center Peter Majerik (207-85) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Five Sokol Hradec Kralove players scored in double figures. Forward Stepan Brix (201-94) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and center Tomas Bruha (213-88, college: Tulane) added 13 points in the effort for Sokol Prazky. Sokol Prazky's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Hradec Kralove have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Sokol Prazky at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Vysocina and Loko Plzen. Sokol Prazky will play next round against GBA Sparta trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Praha - GBA Sparta. Sokol Hradec Kralove will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Slavoj BK Litomerice on the road.
