There was an upset in Perugia where higher ranked Porto S.Elpidio (3-4) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Valdiceppo (2-4) 77-71 on Sunday. Porto S.Elpidio was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Matteo Orlandi (190-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Federico Burini (190-93) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side swingman Fabio Lovatti (192-89) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and Alberto Cacace (197-96) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Valdiceppo and four Porto S.Elpidio players scored in double figures. Porto S.Elpidio's coach Massimiliano Domizioli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Valdiceppo moved-up to thirteenth place in B. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Valdiceppo will face higher ranked Giulianova (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
