Regular Season Round 8: Sokol Prazky - GBA Sparta 72-64

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Praha: Sokol Prazky (#5) and GBA Sparta (#9). Sokol Prazky (4-4) won against visiting GBA Sparta (2-6) 72-64. They outrebounded GBA Sparta 33-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Power forward Jakub Tomas (200-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Center Tomas Bruha (213-88, college: Tulane) contributed with 17 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Latvian forward Verners Kohs (203-97) replied with 15 points and forward Michal Kozak (202-98) added 10 points in the effort for GBA Sparta. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Prazky maintains fifth position in Group A with 4-4 record. GBA Sparta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Sokol Prazky will face Sokol Pisek (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. GBA Sparta will play against Slavoj BK Litomerice and hope to win that game.
