Regular Season Round 8: Shenzhen L. - Sichuan BW 109-100

Everything could happen in Shenzhen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Leopards and 9th ranked Sichuan BW had identical 4-3 record. This time Leopards used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sichuan 109-100 on Friday night. Leopards forced 20 Sichuan BW turnovers. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Rongqi Huang (190-99) replied with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) added 21 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Sichuan BW. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leopards (5-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending champion Sichuan BW dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Leopards will face league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sichuan BW will play at home against Jilin Tigers (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
