Regular Season Round 9: Seis do Nadal - La Fecha 51-78

Rather expected game in Vigo where bottom-ranked Seis do Nadal (0-7) was rolled over by eleventh ranked La Fecha (3-4) 78-51 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-51. La Fecha outrebounded Seis do Nadal 42-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for La Fecha especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Arturo Sarmiento (193-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Alejandro Fisac (183-96) chipped in 17 points. Four La Fecha players scored in double figures. La Fecha's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Iago Gonzalez (190-93) who recorded 15 points and Cristian Garcia (-93) added 12 points respectively. La Fecha moved-up to eighth place in Group A-B, which they share with Rosalia and Innova Chef. Newly promoted Seis do Nadal still closes the standings with seven games lost. La Fecha will face Rosalia (#10) in Santiago de Camp. in the next round. Seis do Nadal will play on the road against the league's second-placed Chantada where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
