Regular Season Round 12: Siauliai - Juventus 65-76

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Siauliai (2-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Juventus (5-7) 76-65. The game without a history. Juventus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Siauliai's 26 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by power forward Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-89, agency: Interperformances) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Jamar Diggs (188-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Juventus players scored in double figures. Juventus' coach Antanas Sireika allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists by forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) did not help to save the game for Siauliai. Center Matas Jucikas (205-94) added 17 points and 9 rebounds. Juventus moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vytautas and P.Zvaigzdes. Siauliai at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Juventus' next round opponent will be Nevezis (#9) in Kedainiai. Siauliai will play on the road against Vytautas in Prienai and hope to win that game.
