There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Roma Vis Nova (3-4) edged at home 9th ranked Maddaloni (3-4) 68-65 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Giulio Casale (187-91) who scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Giacomo Barraco (205-87) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Roma Vis Nova's coach Marco Martiri allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard Joshua Giammo' (190-93) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Giuseppe Luongo (196-91) added 7 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Maddaloni players scored in double figures. Roma Vis Nova moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Maddaloni. Maddaloni lost third consecutive game. Roma Vis Nova will face higher ranked Teramo (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
