Second Stage Round 15: Xinjiang - Bayi 62-74

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Xinjiang (2-1) in Urumqi. Hosts were defeated by Bayi Kylin (3-0) 74-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Xinjiang. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. Bayi Kylin dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Xinjiang's 26. Bayi Kylin forced 19 Xinjiang turnovers. It was a great evening for international center Mengran Sun (197-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. International forward MengXin Sun (190-93) helped adding 16 points. Four Bayi Kylin players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was ShiChing Peng with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lee Wang (170-92) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Bayi Kylin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group B with 3-0 record. Xinjiang at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Sichuan. Bayi Kylin will play against Whale (#3) in Sichuan in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Xinjiang will play at home against Shenyang Golden Lions and hopes to get back on the winning track.
