Not a big story in a game in Zagreb where 10th ranked KK Zabok (2-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Cibona (5-2) 94-83 on Friday. The game without a history. Cibona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Cibona looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Nik Slavica (201-97) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Slovenian point guard Zan Mark Sisko (189-97, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists. Five Cibona players scored in double figures. Guard Sven Smajlagic (195-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) produced 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Nick Tomsick (185-91, college: Fort Lewis) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cibona maintains fifth position with 5-2 record, which they share with KK Zagreb. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the tenth place with five games lost. Cibona will face KK Zadar (#7) at home in the next round. KK Zabok will play against Cedevita in Zagreb and hope to win that game.
