Regular Season Round 10: ULB OH!TELS - San Fernando 77-75

Seventh-ranked San Fernando (2-6) was very close to win a game against second ranked ULB OH!TELS (7-1) in La Linea on Saturday. ULB OH!TELS managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Fernando. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 30-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American swingman Ryan Wilson (195-88, college: William Penn) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. The other American import center Evan Maxwell (203, college: Dowling) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Gonzalo Bueno (205-93) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Jose Ruiz (200-97) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for San Fernando. Five ULB OH!TELS and four San Fernando players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. ULB OH!TELS have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group D-B leader, which they share with Yosiquese. Loser San Fernando keeps the seventh place with six games lost. ULB OH!TELS will face Huelva (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. San Fernando will play against Utrera (#4) and hope to win that game.
