Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Porto: Dragon Force (#1) and Vasco (#2). Dragon Force (7-1) won against visiting Vasco (6-2) 83-77. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Vasco. It was a key game for the top position in Group North. They outrebounded Vasco 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Vasco was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Agenor Rolo (193-95) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Filipe Ferreira (180-96) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Miguel Toreia (180-93) did not help to save the game for Vasco. Guard Joao Veludo (177-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Four Vasco players scored in double figures. Vasco's coach Hugo Salgado rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dragon Force have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group North with 7-1 record. Vasco at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Dragon Force will play against Sangalhos (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vasco will play against Academico FC (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
