Regular Season Round 10: Castelldefels - Muro Basquet 59-81

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Castelldefels (4-5) was outscored at home by tenth ranked Muro Basquet (4-5) 81-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Muro Basquet. Castelldefels was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Muro Basquet dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Castelldefels' 32. It was a very good performance for American forward Jonathan Graham (203-91, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Muro Basquet players scored in double figures. Forward Jordi Boronat (-85) replied with 9 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Albert Olmedo (198-92) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Castelldefels. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Muro Basquet moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A which they share with defeated Castelldefels. Muro Basquet will face higher ranked Mollet (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
