There was an upset in Slupsk where higher ranked Energa Czarni (4-4) was defeated by twelfth ranked Rosa (5-4) 83-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was international swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Canadian forward Greg Surmacz (203-86, agency: Promotex) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Energa Czarni's coach Roberts Stelmahers let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rosa moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Asseco and Krosno. Loser Energa Czarni dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Rosa will face AZS Polfarmex (#13) in Kutno in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Czarni will play on the road against the league's leader Twarde Pierniki (#1) in Torun and hope to win that game.
