Regular Season Round 10: Sant Adria - Sitges 79-74

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Sitges (3-6) lost on the road to eighth ranked Sant Adria (5-4) 79-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 41-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sant Adria outrebounded Sitges 39-27 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sitges was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Enric Nogales (187-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Sant Adria's coach Mario Lousame used entire bench in such tough game. Roger Perez replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Ignacio Velasco added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sitges. Four Sant Adria and five Sitges players scored in double figures. Sant Adria moved-up to sixth place in Group C-B. Sitges lost fifth consecutive game. Sitges at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Sant Adria will face Vive El Masnou (#9) in Barcelona in the next round. Sitges will play at home against the league's second-placed Quart and hope to win that game.
