Regular Season Round 9: Palestrina - Catanzaro 94-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Catanzaro's (4-4) road loss to sixth ranked Palestrina (6-3) in Roma 88-94 on Sunday. Palestrina made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. Catanzaro was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Forward Dario Guadagnola (198-88) answered with 26 points and power forward Devil Medizza (198-90) added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Catanzaro. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Catanzaro's coach Orlando Pullano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Palestrina moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Cento and Crema. Loser Catanzaro dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Palestrina's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Roma Vis Nova.
