An interesting game for German ratiopharm Ulm (4-3) which hosted in Ulm one of their biggest challengers Russian Lokomotiv (2-4). Third ranked ratiopharm Ulm managed to get a 4-point victory 105-101. ratiopharm Ulm made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Lokomotiv was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Guard Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Da'Sean Butler (201-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. ratiopharm Ulm's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Mardy Collins (198-84, college: Temple) replied with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and guard Matt Janning (196-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 20 points in the effort for Lokomotiv. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ratiopharm Ulm maintains third position in Group D with 4-3 record behind leader Gran Canaria. Loser Lokomotiv keeps the fourth place with four games lost. ratiopharm Ulm will have a break next round. Lokomotiv will play at home against the league's second-placed Hapoel Jerusalem (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
