Regular Season Round 4: TTT Riga - Galatasaray 60-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked Turkish Galatasaray's (4-0) road victory over their biggest opponent Latvian TTT Riga (2-2) 83-60 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. TTT Riga was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galatasaray forced 20 TTT Riga turnovers and had a 29-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) fired 26 points and 6 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) chipped in 20 points. American forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) produced 18 points and Lithuanian power forward Giedre Paugaite (193-90) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C with 4-0 record. Defending Latvian champion TTT Riga keeps the second place with two games lost. Galatasaray will face Samsun (#4) at home in the next round. TTT Riga will play against Dynamo NR in Novosibirsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
