Regular Season Round 13: Brisas - Boston College 44-98

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santiago: Boston College (#4) and Brisas (#5). Brisas were crushed at home by 54 points 44-98 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Boston College led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Brisas to just 4 points in third quarter. Boston College dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Brisas' 14. They outrebounded Brisas 50-13 including a 23-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Jenifer Fuentes (178-96) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Cuban center Arlenys Gonzalez (185-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Five Boston College players scored in double figures. Ingrid Carrasco produced 12 points and the former international forward Monserrat Videla (175-92) added 7 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boston College maintains fourth place with 7-4 record. Brisas at the other side keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Boston College's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Sergio Ceppi.
