Regular Season Round 10: Cassino - Patti 89-45

Very expected game when 13th ranked Patti (2-8) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Cassino (7-3) 89-45 on Saturday. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Patti's players. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Valerio Marsili (200-87) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Cassino players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Enrico Waldner (208-92) responded with 7 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tindaro Gullo (175-86) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Patti keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Cassino will face Palestrina (#4) in Roma in the next round. Patti will play at home against Basket Barcellona (#5) and hope to win that game.
