Regular Season Round 11: La Roda - Casvi 75-60

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked La Roda and 5th ranked Casvi had identical 7-3 record. This time La Roda used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Villaviciosa 75-60 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 43-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. La Roda made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Stephon Carter (193-91, college: CSU Bakersfield) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard DeAngelo Hailey (190-90, college: NW Missouri St.) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and Alfonso Ortiz (190-99) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. La Roda (8-3) moved-up to second place in Group B. Loser Casvi dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
