There was no surprise when 10th ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (4-8) lost at home to fourth ranked Lich II (8-4) 74-56 on Saturday. Lich II outrebounded Saarlouis/Dillingen 45-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Nils Pompalla (178-85) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Lich II players scored in double figures. American forward Jeremiah Ingram (201, college: N.C.Central) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian center Muharem Mujkanovic (204-88) added 16 points in the effort for Saarlouis/Dillingen. Newly promoted Lich II maintains fourth position in South-West with 8-4 record, which they share with Koblenz. Saarlouis/Dillingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Lich II will face Tuebingen II (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against the league's second-placed Speyer and hope to win that game.
