There was no surprise in J.Hradec where 10th ranked BK Lions Hradec (4-10) was defeated by third ranked BK Decin (10-4) 83-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was international forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Pavel Houska (203-84, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Jiri Soula (189-95) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Ryan Canty (206, college: Fordham) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. BK Decin maintains third position with 10-4 record having four points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. BK Lions Hradec lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. BK Decin will face USK Praha (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Opava and hope to win that game.
