Rather predictable result in Avila where third ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (8-3) beat 7th ranked Moron (5-6) 79-75. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Moron took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fontedoso Carrefour had a 19-10 second period charge getting the lead and Moron was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-79. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Arturo Cruz (180-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Moron's coach Javier Fijo tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fontedoso Carrefour keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Granada. Moron at the other side dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour's next round opponent will be Meridiano Alicante (#5) on the road. Moron will play against Alcazar (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
