No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Rieti (5-5) defeated at home 14th ranked Novipiu Casale (2-8) 81-70 on Sunday. American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) fired 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Interperformances) produced 16 points and point guard Giovanni Tomassini (188-88) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rieti moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Novipiu Casale dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Rieti will face Agropoli (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Novipiu Casale will play against Scafati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
