Regular Season Round 11: Naron - Betanzos 73-68

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Naron (6-3) beat at home 3rd placed Betanzos (6-3) 73-68 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 26-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Naron forced 25 Betanzos turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Rob Brandenberg (188-92, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Guard Samuel Barros (190-98) helped adding 20 points and 5 steals. Center Marcos Rozas (202-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Pablo Fernandez (178-92) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Naron. They moved-up to third place in Group A-B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Betanzos.
