Regular Season Round 11: Leon - La Fecha 75-70

Very predictable result when second ranked Leon (8-1) defeated at home 8th ranked La Fecha (4-5) 75-70 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. La Fecha was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of Leon, which allowed them to win the game. Leon outrebounded La Fecha 43-22 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. La Fecha was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Ted Hinnenkamp (201-93, college: Dickinson, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Jose Antonio Lopez (190-96) helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Millan Lopez (185-94) responded with 24 points and guard Jorge Martinez (181-96) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Leon keeps a position of Group A-B leader, which they share with Chantada. Loser La Fecha keeps the eighth place with five games lost.
