Regular Season Round 10: The Flexx PT - Fiat TO 89-73

There was a minor upset in Pistoia where 9th ranked Auxilium TO (4-6) was defeated by twelfth ranked The Flexx PT (4-6) 89-73 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-73. The Flexx PT dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Auxilium TO's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Auxilium TO's players. The former international center Andrea Crosariol (212-84, college: Fair Dickinson) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Terran Petteway (198-92, college: Nebraska) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Auxilium TO players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The Flexx PT moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Auxilium TO. The Flexx PT will meet higher ranked Betaland Cdo (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Auxilium TO will play against Juvecaserta and hope to secure a win.
