Regular Season Round 15: BK Decin - Svitavy 75-71

Very expected game when 11th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (4-12) lost on the road to third ranked BK Decin (12-4) 75-71 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. BK Decin made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Basketbal Svitavy was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Pavel Houska (203-84, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. The former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures. Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American forward Hunter Mickelson (208-92, college: Kansas) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Basketbal Svitavy. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BK Decin have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-4 record having just one point less than leader CEZ Nymburk. Basketbal Svitavy lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. BK Decin will face league's leader CEZ Nymburk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BK Lions Hradec (#9) in J.Hradec and hope to win that game.
