Regular Season Round 15: Shanxi BD - Xinjiang FT 118-121

Not a big story in a game in Taiyuan where 10th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (7-8) was edged by fourth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (12-3) 121-118 on Wednesday. Xinjiang Flying Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 8 assists. International forward Gen Li (196-88) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) with a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and Haitian-Canadian center Samuel Dalembert (211-81, college: Seton Hall) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Xinjiang Flying Tigers and five Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Shanxi Zhongyu's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Xinjiang Flying Tigers. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangdong ST. Loser Shanxi Zhongyu dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Qingdao Eagles (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shanxi Zhongyu will play against Jiangsu Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
