Regular Season Round 10: KTE-Duna - Kormend 78-75

The most exciting game of round 10 in the A Division took place in Kecskemet. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Kormend (7-3) to eleventh ranked KTE-Duna (3-5) 78-75 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Kormend trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 22 after three quarters before a 29-10 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 75-78 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Lenzelle Smith Jr. (193-91, college: Ohio St.) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Kormend. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. KTE-Duna maintains eleventh position with 3-5 record. Kormend lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with three games lost. KTE-Duna are looking forward to face higher ranked Jaszberenyi (#10) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kormend will play against the league's leader Alba (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
