Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Iseo (1-10) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Piacenza (9-2) 100-55 on Thursday. Piacenza dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Iseo's 20. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Iseo was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Point guard Giacomo Sanguinetti (180-90, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 20 points. Four Piacenza players scored in double figures. Gianluigi Prestini (200-89) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Diego Crescini (189-87) added 14 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Piacenza. They keep a position of B leader, which they share with Bergamo and Orzinuovi GaGa. Iseo lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth place with ten games lost. Piacenza will face Cento (#4) on the road in the next round. Iseo will play against Reggio Emilia (#11) and hope to win that game.
