Regular Season Round 17: Kremen - Kryvbas 72-66

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kremenchuk, where 4th placed Kryvbas (9-5) lost to tenth ranked Kremen (3-12) in a road game 66-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kryvbas. Kryvbas were ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 20-7 charge of Kremen, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kryvbas to just 7 points in fourth quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Kryvbas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Yaroslav Skrypets (195-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international guard Bogdan Bayda (193-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) accounted for 16 points. Kremen's coach Boris Sagaj used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Yevgen Vornik (208-86) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Anatoliy Shundel (191-93, agency: AproK Sports Group) added 17 points respectively for Kryvbas in the defeat. Four Kryvbas players scored in double figures. Kremen maintains tenth place with 3-12 record. Kryvbas at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Kremen's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mykolaiv (#8) in Mykolaiv and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kryvbas will play on the road against Avantazh-Polit. (#11) in Kharkiv and hope to win that game.
