Regular Season Round 14: Zubry - Stal SW 75-92

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Stal SW (9-5) won against 9th ranked Zubry (6-8) in Bialystok 92-75 on Saturday. Stal SW forced 21 Zubry turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Adrian Warszawski (201-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Point guard Dawid Zagula (185-96) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Stal SW's coach Robert Grzyb used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Marcin Monach (201-80) added 14 points in the effort for Zubry. Four Zubry players scored in double figures. Stal SW have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position in Group B with 9-5 record. Newly promoted Zubry dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. Stal SW will face Shmoolky W-wa (#7) in Warszawa in the next round. Zubry will play on the road against the league's leader Syntex Ksiezak in Lowicz and hope to win that game.
