There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked CB Guadalajara (3-7) edged at home higher ranked Gran Canaria B (7-5) 71-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. CB Guadalajara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rafael Molina (202-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds and American-Nigerian forward Ryan Okwudibonye (203-91, college: CS East Bay) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Worth to mention Molina played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. The best for the losing side was Latvian center Klavs Cavars (205-96) with 18 points and Lithuanian center Rokas Gadiliauskas (205-98) scored 6 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CB Guadalajara moved-up to twelfth place in Group B. Loser Gran Canaria B dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. CB Guadalajara will face league's leader Real Canoe in Madrid in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
