Regular Season Round 12: BVM 2012 - Naron 74-54

There was an upset in Mieres where higher ranked Naron (6-4) was crushed by tenth ranked BVM 2012 (4-5) 74-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. BVM 2012 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Naron's 30. BVM 2012 forced 21 Naron turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-British forward Jeff Dirkin (203-91, college: Rollins, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: Amer.Internat., agency: Duran International) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. BVM 2012's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Matt Stoll (201-92, college: Ferris St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import guard Rob Brandenberg (188-92, college: VCU) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. BVM 2012 moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B. Loser Naron dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. BVM 2012 will face higher ranked Betanzos (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
