The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Palanga won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Arunas Mikalauskas (199-97, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. American point guard Jonathan Hudson (180-87, college: Texas A&M) produced 24 points and 4 assists and forward Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Mazeikiai moved-up to tenth place. Palanga lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Mazeikiai will meet higher ranked Zalgiris II (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Palanga will play against Delikatesas (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
