Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Polonia Leszno (9-5) beat at home 8th ranked Biofarm PZN (6-8) 82-69 on Saturday. Polonia Leszno forced 19 Biofarm PZN turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-90) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Forward Filip Struski (200-94) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) scored 11 points. Four Polonia Leszno and five Biofarm PZN players scored in double figures. Biofarm PZN's coach Przemyslaw Szurek rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Polonia Leszno have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with GTK Gliwice and Pogon Prudnik. Loser Biofarm PZN keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kotwica and SKK Siedlce. Polonia Leszno will meet Pogon Prudnik (#5) on the road in the next round. Biofarm PZN will play against Astoria Bydg. and hope to secure a win.
