Regular Season Round 12: Roseto - Jesi 87-69

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Jesi (5-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Roseto (8-4) 87-69 on Sunday. Roseto looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Jesi's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) who added 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Roseto's coach Emanuele Di Paolantonio used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) with 27 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Marco Maganza (204-91) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Roseto moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Jesi dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Roseto will face Ravenna (#7) on the road in the next round. Jesi will play against Udine APU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
