Regular Season Round 16: Xinjiang FT - Qingdao E. 125-112

Very predictable result in Urumqi where fourth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (13-3) beat 13th ranked Qingdao Eagles (6-10) 125-112 on Sunday. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who helped to win the game recording 48 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Qi Zhou (217-96) who added 15 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Qingdao Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Guangdong ST and Guangsha L. Loser Qingdao Eagles keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet at home Bayi Rockets (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Eagles will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#10) in Taiyuan and hope to secure a win.
