The game between Top Four teams took place in Perth. 3rd ranked host Perth Lynx (8-5) was smashed by first ranked Dandenong Rangers (11-3) 92-71. The game without a history. Dandenong Rangers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Perth Lynx's 26. Dandenong Rangers had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dandenong Rangers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Ally Malott (193-92, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Tessa Lavey (172-93) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Four Perth Lynx players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-3 record. Perth Lynx at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Dandenong Rangers are looking forward to face Sydney Uni Flames (#4) on the road in the next round. Perth Lynx will play against Adelaide Lightning and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
