There was no surprise in Castellanza where 12th ranked Agropoli (5-7) was defeated by second ranked Legnano (9-3) 75-67 on Monday. Legnano made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Agropoli turnovers. Agropoli was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center William Mosley (203-89, college: Northwestern St.) who added 7 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Donnell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) scored 15 points. Legnano maintains second position in A2 with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader Angelico Biella. Loser Agropoli dropped to the thirteenth place with seven games lost. Legnano will face Treviglio (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agropoli will play against FCM Ferentino and hope to win that game.
