Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Israeli Hapoel Jerusalem and their biggest opponent German ratiopharm Ulm had identical 4-3 record. This time Hapoel Jerusalem used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Ulm 69-64 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group D. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ratiopharm Ulm won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ratiopharm Ulm was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Amare Stoudemire (208-82) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor, agency: Stealth Sport) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Jerusalem (5-3) moved-up to second place in Group D. Loser ratiopharm Ulm dropped to the third position with four games lost.
