Regular Season Round 17: Fujian S. - Tianjin GL 102-112

Everything went according to plan when fourteenth ranked TianJin Steel (6-11) defeated 18th ranked Fujian (3-14) in Jinjiang 112-102. It was a great shooting night for TianJin Steel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. International Zhelin Wang (215-94) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and Taiwanese Long-Mao Hu (196-92) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TianJin Steel moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Qingdao E. Fujian lost their twelfth game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 14 games lost. TianJin Steel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sichuan BW (#7) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fujian will play against Beijing Ducks (#11) and hope to win that game.
